A dynamic new high-tech digital window display has recently been installed at the world famous Department Store in Knightsbridge, London. Alchemy worked in collaboration with the Harrods in-store creative team to develop an exciting new concept in window environments – an intriguing sumptuous ‘suspended flying’ design with dynamic cutting-edge digital video module technology with integral product displays. The window display theme is based on Thailand Tourism and the visual impact is aesthetically stunning and so eye-catching that it is attracting much attention and admiration from Harrods’ shoppers and store visitors.
As world-leading digital technology, the unique microtile modules, which are similar in size to a building block, can be designed and constructed into a multitude of shapes as a back-wall or partition display, and are designed to interlock as free standing walls, pillars or split-screen applications. Each microtile module can be programmed individual and bespoke displays are created using the digital tiles to project all modes of imagery including film, dynamic graphics and messages. They can also be programmed as touch-screen interactive.
According to the retail industry feedback to date, this latest retail design initiative, moves shop window presentation to a higher plane; and signals a new era of design applications for all types of retail, museum, visitor centre and showroom environment. There is virtually no limit to the size or scale of the extraordinary microtile video displays.
